yesterday i installed a C-4 blower motor,it was an easy install and worth the time and effort.it doesn't get the air moving like a late model car or truck but still a major improvement. well worth the time and money. i've been toying with the idea of a heat shield between the exhaust manifold and evap case. anybody tried that with any success?
i was thinking of doing the same upgrade. after reading your post i will tackle this project over the winter. what year c-3 doyou have? what year motor did you install???

i have a 72 bb , and i put in a blower from an 84 or 85. ( i would give you a part # but i tossed the box ). got it from advanced auto and it was around $20.00 had to make a spacer since the new fan unit is a little deeper than the original. it ended up being 3/4" thick. also the flange is shaped a little different but all the holes lined up dead on. the whole thing took about 2 hours.( spacer was made ahead of time) if i had known it was that simple i would have done it before now
