Aluminium intake manifold date code
Hi
I am trying to piece together missing parts for my 1980 and found this intake #14014432.
My car was build ?28thApril 1980 and this Intake is dated 7thApril 1980.
My question is
Would this intake be time appropriate to match my car?
I read somewhere that all date codes were cast under the heat shield, why this date code is cast on top of the intake?

If you are unsure ot the 4/28/80 build date, check the code in the upper right corner of the trim tag. H28 would be the code for April 28th; it was a Monday.

When the car was repainted in its original black colour, someone took of the trim tag and lost it.
I bought the car with the Trim Tag already missing.
I do have the Dealer invoice and the date is 29th April 1980.
My date of birth is 28th April 1976 and to have my car build on the same day seems hard to believe so I am careful, however forever hopeful!!
P.S. My engine pad is April 16th
