Sunny sunday perfect for a ride with the family. Went out with my wife and 2 year old kid. went to this place I ussually go sundays to have lunch by the river and that is also a windsurf/kite facility. Parked the car at the entrance and and relaxed for a couple of hours. All fine till the time I had to go!!!! went to the car to find out somy big A!! mother F!!!!! had scratched my paint on purpose with a key or wire!!!! Its terrible when this happends as theres nothing you can do!!!! If I ever find a guy doing this not even to my car I will beat the cr... out of him
He scratched 7.5" in the driver side just in front of the handle and about 24" in the rear wheel well of the same side!!!! Other cars parked there were also ruined.... I will put this task of hitting a paint scratcher on my wanna do's list

I've found the keying to be justified in one instance only. I had one of those red IROC Z28's back in the 80's and parked at a mall. Some nimrod next to me had backed in with their passenger door open. You could see the red paint on their door, and the blue paint and scratch from their door on my car. Needless to say, 360 degrees later theirs matched mine.
It's terrible that people cannot show just modicum of respect when it comes to other peoples property.
Hell, I was at a Brewers game parking my Vette when the guy next to me came up and started pushing down on my head light. I had turned them off and they go down kinda one at a time, not too even (which is typical).
The dumb *** thought it was stuck and figured he'd help it. He almost found himself going down.
What compels people to lean on my car, or sit on the fender right in front of me also drives me bonkers. WTF is the matter with people? These are the same *******s who get kicked out of museums for messing with the art. Friggin retards.
ARGH!!!! Sorry this happened to you. Can you tell I feel your pain. The worst are those morons that leave stray carts in the parking lot.
Oh man! Sad news indeed. That's why I never leave my cars anywhere that I cannot see them. Or if I am at a cruise and I want to take a walk to look at other cars, I will get someone to babysit my car and I return the favor when they want to ramble around. It's terrible that we need to do this, but there are jealous mean-spirited people out there.
You guys are going to make me paranoid. I've never had any paint damage to either of my vintage cars in parking lots, but I've always suddered at the thought of finding one of them keyed. My adult son gets pi$$ed at me for parking them in a single space in a parking lot, but I think parking them in two spaces will draw the attention and ire of some people. If I EVER saw someone keying a car, I'd take him out. One solid shot to the back or side of the head. See ya!
I remember seeing a family posing there kids on the painted running boards of a 32 ford for a picture at a local car show. The kids are standing there with their grit covered shoes while the moron parents are yelling "smile kids!". The owner came over there and with amazing restraint asked the kids to get off the car and told the parents that was a real dumb decision. They of course were totally offended and acted as if he was the jerk. Losers. Sorry to hear about your car, that sucks.
I know exactly how you feel imagine spending 10 years and 50 thousand restoring a rare antique biplane only to take it to an airshow and have kids climbing all over it and when you calmly tell them not to climb on the airplane their mom says sarcastically " well why did you bring it if you didn`t want them on it" some people are just trash. I hate it for you.

Sorry to hear about your car. Some are just dumb.
My question is if you, your wife and your kid went driving in your 2 seat Corvette where did your 2 year old kid sit? In NYS children under the age of 8 must sit in the back with a booster seat or car seat other wise we get in big trouble.
