The back glass was removable up to '72 or maybe '73. There are a few vendors that sell it as a kit that can be put into a later model with a fixed rear window up to '77.
I sourced my parts used from Ebay, and got some new hardware from some of the vendors. The body is set up to accept the removable window, but you'll have to drill some holes and install some U-clips and screws to hold the latches in place.
The window seal is tough to get glued in right without some extra hands to help, but once you get the seal in, the latches and guides installed, it's really worth it when you can pop that window out and drive.
I drove my '77 for about 3 years without a rear window because I liked it better. I later found out that I could install a removable rear window.
Thanks for the info...I am new to the corvette side, any links on parts?
Pics of yours?
just need a good idea.....
thanks,

PM a member here, Curtis74, and ask him where he bought his kit. He got it all in one place and we installed it one weekend with a few cold beers and some BBQ. Fun time, and many hands make light work.
I don't have any good pics but start with a PM to him. If the price is too much for the kit, you'll need to start sourcing parts off of Ebay and calling Corvette parts recyclers.
