Overheating?
When i got the car the previous owner had wired the electric to always be on and now it just doesnt work and my 80 is over heating. does the electric fan help with the cooling of the car or am i missing something else that works with the system?

that electric fan didnt come on till about 235 deg.,it would help out the clutch fan, i would inspect / replace the clutch on the belt driven fan. as it does most of the cooling, and make sure all the seals around the radiator are in place. also the lower radiator hose has a spring inside of it to prevent it from collapsing, that could be a problem too.
