Default did i do this right

i just wanted to make sure i did this TDC thing right.

i am used to installing distributers on fords where the numbers are on the balancer and not on the tab.

My 454 timing tab has vertically an A (which i assume is ATDC), a 0, and a B (which i guess means BTDC)

i put my finger over the #1 plug hole and bumped the starter until i felt air coming out. then i checked the timing tab and the mark on my balancer was just a little past the line next to the 0.
i then backed the crank up until they lined up exactly.
i then took off the valve covers and checked the #1 rocker arms and it seems that both valves are closed. i can wiggle both pushrods slightly.
(coincidently i also discovered that my 72 454 has 67 427 heads on it)

does this sound like i did it right?
i have read the papers and articles but i wanted to make sure i was good to go.

now for install i just need to put the rotor pointed at the #1 plug wire.
