I just finished putting in my drivers side headlight assembly. I took it out to replace all the parts with new ones and paint the underside parts. It took me over an hour to get it alligned again. But, it looks and works good now.
Durango Boy,
Just be sure to the tape the edges of the top part before you remove the assembly. I am talking about the flat part you see when the headlights are down. Use the tape because the unit is quite heavy and you have to play with it to get it out of the car. I actually scratched the edge a little, but was able to buff it out.
I'm in the process of installing the header bar which holds the headlamp assemblies. I'm just hoping mine goes in correctly. I clamped the header bar in place, loosley attached the headlamp assemblies, the marked the postion of the header bar with a sharpie.
I'm going to be pulling the header bar to remove any oil/dirt/dust from the mounting flange and then I'm using hi-tech 3M epoxy to re-attach it. I used painters tape on the headlamp assy's as well as the body around the headlamp areas.
