Wheel widening
I came across this ad and am considering having the width on my rear wheels widened 2-3" to fit 295s with flares. Has anyone seen or done this before on the C3 slotted alloys?

My brother had the stock wheels on his 00 Firehawk widened. He's done plenty of donuts/burnouts with them and never has had a problem. I'm sure he has pictures of them with the tires off. If you want the pics just let me know and I'll track them down.
I've actually thought about buying the 19x9.5 and 20x11 c5 z06 wheel combo and getting an inch or so taken out of the 20's in order to run them on the vette. Would've cost double the price of 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 combo, not including the spacers.
