Curious if I can swap doors between a 1977 Coupe and a 1974 Convertible? Anyone out there got any idea how to tell? I can change out the interior panels, not a problem, but what about those doors?
If you knew what I was thinking you would probably just laugh, so don't ask.
The glass is different but you probably already knew that.
I did not know that the glass is different. Do you know what is different about the glass? I thought I was good to go with them being interchangable.
David
Okay thank you. The panels are the same and that is a good thing. DW says the glass is different and I need to learn a little more about that one to see if I will be changing some glass around. I have my 1977 AIM but not a 1974 AIM (I have one on order now) to compare, but not sure how interchangable they will be...
Thanks again.
David

I think its diff at the back of the door. You also have some diff. in the guides in the door jamb.
I have a 74 project and a set of 78 doors. The interior latch and the handle are way different. The lock assembly will bolt right in, but the rods that operate it are not the same.

Thank you sir. I am very quickly determining I am not going to try this swap out.
