Default C3 Convertible Lexan/Plexiglass Rear Window?

Anyone ever seen such a conversion from the normal and fragile rear window?

Based on the lack of any replies I will have to conclude that this has never been done.

Because the plastic was designed to fold when the top is put down, A solid sheet of plexi would not work. I have seen Mustang rear windows with a fold line in them

I was trying to remember what car(s) used that solid and folding window. Thanks.

One of my friends has a 69 Camaro with the hard rear glass in the soft top and it also has the silicone seam across the middle so the top will fold. Be sure to post what you may find.

Looks like it can be done but at a cost....It appears that the entire top must be replaced as the glass is bonded to the material. That looks to be about $800 plus shipping/labour. My top is top-of-the-line Haartz canvas and virtually new. I guess this is one improvement I will pass on.

Do you know if the frame has to be changed as well as the fabric?

I don't think so. From the site I figure $549 for their canvas top and an extra $220 for the optional glass window for a canvas top.

Default Either I'm a maroon....

...or that website is rather difficult to navigate. Is there a picture of Corvette top anywhere?
