Default R4 Replacement with Sanden

Where can I get the adapters to change out a R4 with a Sanden AC compressor. Any recommendations as to which Sanden I should buy?

I plan to use the Sanden with my stock factory 1970 AC. (The Serpentine kit I have for my 70 BB, is designed to mount a R4. I think a Sanden would be a better choice - weight, performance.)

Thanks

Supplementary on that. What Sanden R-134 et al (hoses and the like) to replace a 1974 A6? No serpentine, just stock.

I took my Sanden bracket from Classic Auto Air, along with a parallel flow condenser and all the needed hoses and adapters.

What would be the cost - parts only - to replace the A6 setup and convert to R134? Does someone have a turn-key conversion? I know of the various Vintage/Hot Rod/etc. complete retro kits but I am speaking of just the stock GM re-fit.

Well, to be honest, its costly. I paid around $120 for the brackets, and $300 for the condenser kit (which contains the condenser, hoses, and the dryer) and another $180 or so for the compressor. Its a little costly, but my car is a daily driver, and I wanted something more reliable and easy to the engine than the stock A/C setup.

Sanden and others make units with various pulley/port configurations for serpentine and v belt.
Although the 5 and 7 numbering system is outdated, I would use the larger displacement 7 series comparable compressor even though it too is not as large a displacement as the original a6.
Sandens have issues too. You may investigate Nippondenso as well.
