Parking Break

If anyone has replaced their parking break cable in recent years. I have my mechanic replacing the cable. Well the springs at the shoes are all busted up, 2 adjusters are in bad shape, plastic retainer is missing.

Quick question - any of the suppliers sell kits to include all this and if so has anyone purchased them? I'm going to do some looking around today, but wanted to get back to my mechanic also.

Your brake cable might be fine -- it's the rest of the goodies you need.

My mechanic already had a new brake cable ready to install. It was when he went to install it that he found everything else in bad shape. I told him to check with Wilcox and Ecklers and get best price for rest of the package (except the shoes). Wilcox was best deal.
