do you all remember this movie "the wraith"? kinda like.... the "corvette summer" of the '80s.

I do remember that movie I had forget that there was a Corvette in it.
Charlie Sheen was the Wraith and it's generous to call it B movie.

Ahhhh the wraith…….That was one of my favorite movies when I was a teenager. Skank and gutterboy drinking break fluid or what ever and saying “This s&*t’s got some kick” I love it thanks for the memory. I didn’t remember the corvette either but I do remember thinking the wraiths car was cool. Does anyone know what it was?

yeah i dunno why that movie popped into my head but it did so and i TOTALLY remember the vette as a kid. i've been all over utube watching those stupid clips and chase scenes. so funny. love that '78 t/a with the blower

I remember seeing this movies when I was a kid too and thought it was so Bad-Azz. I found it in the $2.99 DVD bin at Wal-Mart and bought it. Man, what a let down. Just makes you realize how different your mind thinks when you are a kid.

The Wraith was on my On Demand movies a few months ago so I watched it.
I kind of like the Barracuda, and I also liked the Clint Howard part. But the movie is so bad that it's good!
It's almost like the producers said, "hey we have $500, let's make a movie!"

Pretty neat site.
They wrecked 2 vettes in the movie ConAir. The 67 that they "wrecked" was actually a prop car. Several years ago I actually sat in the one that they drove in the movie. It was for sale at ProTeam Corvettes. That was kinda neat. It came with certification and a copy of the script. They also wrecked an 84 near the end of the movie.
I remember a few years ago when they made the movie XXX, they wrecked 3 new C5's making it. There was a group trying to organize a boycott of the movie, calling themselves PETC (People for the Ethical Treatment of Corvettes). I don't know if the group is still around, but I never did go see the movie.

yeah.... i dunno what it is about some guys (and maybe gals too) and b-movies. i mean, i'd bet money on the fact that more people on this forum would rather watch "tremors" for the 30th time than "citizen kane" for the first or second time.... intelligence and education aside. there's just *something* about a crappy action flick! add cars to it and it's a no brainer!!!!!

Anyone remember a movie that was about a black 80's Porsche, I think it was a 911, and there was also a black mid to late 80's Corvette in it. I vaguely recall that the Porsche is being driven by the good guy or cop guy. The bad guy guy is driving a red modified '80-82. I remember the Porsche is following the red vette. I saw this movie on TV in the late 1980's.
