Default Gasoline leak

Haven't driven the 78 much in the last few months. About a month ago, had trouble getting it started and smelled a lot of gas. Thought maybe I just flooded it. It seems to drive okay.

Last night, tried to start it, and again had trouble. Smelled gas again and looked under the hood. There were puddles of gas sitting in the valleys of the intake manifold.

I didn't have time to pull the air cleaner and track it down. Other than a fuel line leak at the point of entry to the carb, are there other ways this fuel is getting leaked out that much? BTW, most of this gasoline was on the drivers side of the engine, but there was some on the passenger side too. (This is the original 350 w/AC and auto tranny).

Thanks!!

Maybe the float is stuck or out of adjustment? I don't know much about the Q-jet carbs but I had an Edelbrock where the float got stuck and the valve was out of adjustment and fuel spewed out the top like a fountain.

The Q carbs have a number connection points for various applications. Some of these ports on the carb are sealed off and will leak gas as time goes by. On my '75 on the very front of the carb there were two ports that needed resealing - done and no smell again for years.
