Seems to be a lot of knowledgable people on this site, so I'm hoping some one can help me out. I'm trying my first frame off restoration on a 1976 vette. I have all 4 body mounts off each side and the three bolts (each side)holding the front bumper to the frame. However the front end will not seperate from the frame. WHAT AM I MISSING?
The radiator support shouldn't keep the front end from lifting. When you lift the body it will come up at the rear first and hang nose-down as it is lifted. Perhaps you just need to lift it more to see if the nose lifts from the frame. As someone else mentioned, make sure all of the ground straps are disconnected. You'd be suprised at how much weight one of those straps can lift without breaking.
