Manifold is a victor jr. and clears the hood by about 1/8" using the L88 aircleaner assembly.
To use the air box bonded to the hood I had to modify the contact surface of the air box to the air cleaner buy cutting it out and rebondingit at a slant giving more depth in the front
Lots of extra work but the 540 needed to breathe and the RPM air gap we tried first did not help it with the wild roller cam profile I am using

Shot some pics of the car finally done, there has not been much sun out since but I took a few anyway.
Maybe next spring I can post some of the paint in the sun and you can all see how it sparkles

Your car proves that you can make modifications to stock platform w/o detracting from or offending the intent of the orignal design and actually end up with something very awesome that is several notches above what GM was able to accomplish back in the day. I like it!

I wanted to modify the car for some performance and creature comfort upgrades but at the same time not changing the car to a point that it could not go back to the exact way GM had made it
