could it be that the GEN light is grounding out behind the dash? I had that problem when i put my dash back together. The "tape" copper connection in the middle plug folded a tab over on the one next to it and the light stayed on.
the circuit board behind the instrument panel is in pretty good shape no rips or folded over spots that can be seen
did the bench tester.. for two different alternators that i was using..
ill try to trailor it up there dont want to take the chace driving it up there and the battery gives out...
removing the positive or neagtive side of the battery terminal will make the car die

If the engine dies when removing the batt cable then you have NO output.I think as far as your alt the problem is in the brown wire. Here is a pic if you can temporarily wire your alt like this and you then have output you can rule out the alt.It should be self explanatory but if you have questions just ask.

UPDATE
Well.... Accomplished the Task using a test light and various jumpers and finally a late arriving Ohm meter...the Alternator is Def putting out Power 13.8 -14.2 depending on the Idle of the car.
I guess ill pull the Fuse block apart and see what's going on inside... any suggestions on what to look for...?
