mark,
so even though the '68 ran F70x15 bias ply tires the wheel was still 15X7? i know the mid years were 15x7 and also the sharks started running 15x8's but was not sure what year they started. thanks!

1967 - 15X6 - 1 Year only (I believe)
1968 - 15X7 - 1 Year only
1969 on - 15X8

The 1968 7" wheel was unique because of the back spacing. Even though it was a 7" wheel, it used the same deep trim ring that the 8" wheel uses.
So looking at it from the outside, it looks the same as the 15X8 wheel.

not really, the ring fits flush against the center of the 1968 rim and has about a 1 inch gap on 1969 and up rims.

Does NOT look the same from the outside...........when looking at the 68 center cap it's not as deep / resessed.............almost flush with the trim ring depth, 69 is in much deeper !!!
