Default Corvette Central Complete Exhaust System

Just got my latest edition of Corvette Fever. Noticed on page 18 an add for a complete exhaust system from Corvette Central. It includes headers, pipes and Magnaflow mufflers. I really need to remove the Flowmasters on the car, too much resonance.

Has anyone purchased and installed such a system. What's your thoughts.

Thanks,

Great fit and sound. I've had mine for a few years and it is holding up very well.

I am about to get new exhaust too. When I bought my '72 it had some sort of in-line exhaust with no mufflers. Sounds good but very loud. You guys think magnaflow is better than flowmaster??

I got their complete system installed almost 2 years ago, it fits perfectly and sounds really good, also the price is very good.

Thanks for the reply. It's always nice to get positive feedback. The Flowmasters I have on now are terrible. Way too much resonance. Sounds good with the hammer down though.
What do ya think of the shorty headers? I like the fact that the collector is near the road surface where it can collect debris and start the rusting process.

Again thanks HamadUP

You're welcome

The drone tone of the flowmasters is really annoying, I hate it. The magnaflows will give you the sweet "rumble" sound when idling and will "roar" nicely when cruising, no resonance what so ever.

I dont like the shorty headers, they wont do much than a stock manifold, you really need a full length tube headers to get some more HPs, plus the block huggers will set very close to engine and will cause heat problems at least with the starter motor.

HamadUP

About the shorty headers, that's exactly the information I was also looking for. I too feel a full tube will give more HP and not cause a heating problem, plus I'd like ceramic coated. We all know with vettes, heat is always a concern.

Thanks again
