Default MAMotorworks Order Problem

Posting this in C3 section to share my experience and to listen to input.

Back on Aug. 21, 2008 I ordered a pair of "Accent Style" seatcovers for my 94, (blk w/ red stitching), from Mid America Motorworks (MAM). I got an email for a clearance sale during Aug. 21-25 and these seat covers were on the list for only $104 for both seats.
I couldn't believe it either, so I called MAM to see if it was for just one or both seats. The salesman said it was the correct price for both seats. I ordered them on the spot.
I still cannot get MAM to send them to me. I'm getting upset about this.

I have called MAM 5 times to get my order and I keep getting the run-around. They say they are in stock, but tried to charge me $450.00.

I told them I want them for the advertised price I was shown. I was told over the phone that they will inquire about them 3 different times, but they have never called me back and haven't had any information for me , other than MAM did place my order on the 21st.

I really want the seat covers and want to stay on good terms with them, but if MAM doesn't honor their add, I will not buy from them in the future.

Sorry for going on and on, but I needed to vent.

Anyone else see that same email?

Anyone else order a set?

Anyone else had problems with them, too?

I would say the $104 was for a set of slip-on seat protectors, not true seat covers. There was a point of confusion somewhere in this order.

Did you get an order number with an order confirmation with that price?

If so, escalate it in the company. Talking to the phone jockeys wont get you far.

GOOD NEWS!!!

Today, after talking with Jerri, (my contact at MAM), she worked with Lori Warman and got my order straightened out.
My faith in humanity has been restored.

Even though it was a typo in the add, they honored the price and it will be shipped Monday.

Thank you Jerri and Lori for your hard work in getting this resolved. (probably won't see this, but I appreciate it anyway.)

I feel much better about MAM now and hope meet them at Funfest next year.
