Corvette Fall with the GF Pic 01
Recently picked up a 79 vette for $900 (yes; hundred). The interior needs work as an animal got inside and shredded it. Anyway as a fantasy artist and glamour photographer I thought I'd grab the girlfriend and have her pose next to my newest addition. Fall in New england is like nowhere else so I combined all the elemnts to get some pretty good shots. This is the first of many. Each day I will try to post one.

How I got it for $900. I do Mac (computer repair/troubleshooting) work. The guy 2 streets down saw my ad. When he came to my house to drop off the laptop he saw my Vette model toys around the house. (I live alone so no ducks or cat props HERE...) He asked "Are you into Corvettes?"
I said "Well yeah, I have a 72 and 86".
He says "You want one for $1,000? Something got inside during the winter and trashed the interior. The drivers door is stuck, hood wont open, a T-top leaks, I havent started it in a year, and theres a firewall-windshield leak. And it was stored outside under a tarp. Everything inside as a result is surface rusted."
Anyway I did $100 worth of work for him so I got it for $900 cash.

BTW: it only needed a good washing to get the meldew off it and I sprayed with a $2.50 bottle of el-cheapo spray-on car wax from a local "Odd Lot" store. The Vette was so shiney my GF kept sliding off the hood!
Make no mistake this car needs a lot of work and Ive posted (previously) some of the problems as Im a geek and not a wrench monkey. Im gonna need your help to fix this one up and already you guys have been GREAT!

The biggest area of concern right now is making it water-tight. Seems there's a leak somewhere where the firewall meets the w/wiper compartment. This is how it filled with water and left untreated the inside began to surface rust anything metal. Both sides leak. On the driver's side it seems to drip off the clutch pedal. On the other side come out of the fresh air (??) vent pipe above. Now I discovered the back window leaks...
