Yes, all SB and BB (non tall deck) distributors interchange. Also a 4.3 uses the same housing, but different pickup and star (6 points instead of 8). There are differences in the gear at the bottom-different inside diameters and different materials on some. A C4 HEI has a different inside diameter lower gear than a F-body. Factory roller cam engines use a hardened gear that non-rollers do not.
Answer is yes as a general rule, but might depend on if you are working on later model stuff (or a tall-deck BB).
