so i finally get the intake and carb swap finished in my 72 BB.
car cranks and runs nicely. i finally found an air cleaner assembly that gives me enough room to shut the hood.
first drive went good. idles in gear at 650 rpms with a vacuum reading of 17 in D. slow acell is good, engine is smooth but when i floored it the engine would bog. not die but just take a while to pick up.
then i realized something, i have an automatic and its not going into passing gear. i got up under the dash and realized that i had forgotten to plug it back in after i installed the lokar pedal.
next drive, 45 mphs, pedal to floor, rpms went to about 5500 and tail end went to the right a few feet.
i came back into the garage with a grin from ear to ear.

That sounds like the first nitrous pass I made in my Cutlass. It took a few seconds to get everything under control and going straight again, but when I got back to the shop I was shaking, white knuckles and had a grin a prybar couldn't remove. Congrats on the successful full throttle blast!
