RPO Codes

The build sheet has been found stuck in the frame in the front of the car, under the driver's seat, under the carpet and maybe even on the gas tank. I was lucky in that the prior owner found the original and gave it to me with a lot of other original paper work.
The National Corvette Museum took my build sheet and had it turned into an actual replica of the Window sticker.

If you dont have a build sheet then you are pretty much SOL

Then, if you wish, you can have an approved aftermarket company take your delivery sheet and turn it in to a window sticker that looks like this:

This is the best way to find the RPO codes that belonged to your delivered vehicle, IMHO. Finding the build sheet in good condition is not as trustworthy.
Let me know if you need the Allied Vaughn web site data, I have it here somewhere.

Yes, this is the delivery sheet for my Red 77, used to be Orange. It looks like this at the moment.

ATTACHMENT ON NEXT POST SHOWS THIS DOCUMENT
This one is the second car (the one I had a window sticker manufactured for). And it looks like this at the moment.

Both will be Orange one day. One will be modified, and one will be stock.
Hope this helps.

That didn't work out so well, sorry.

This is the delivery sheet for the 77 Corvette Orange that is still Orange today. This one has just 22K miles on it and is in great shape.
Sorry about that...

If your car was built in St. Louis, contact these folks http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...x.php?cmd=area and see if you can obtain a copy of the dealer invoice for your car. The dealer invoice will list all the options installed on the car.
If your car was built at Bowling Green, contact the National Corvette Museum https://store.corvettemuseum.com/ser...buildsheet.asp and see if you can get a copy of the build sheet.
A copy of The Corvette Black Book will help unravel things a bit. It lists 81 options. Since there were no optional engines for '81, you won't have to fret over that.
Good luck.

Can I ask where you got this fantastic picture and do you have access to or know where we could get access to more of the assembly process photographs like this.
I would love to see the assembly process visually.
Thanks for sharing this.
