What is the general recommendation for replacing the nose on a '73.
Fiberglass or the Eckler unit.
I'm good with fiberglass but don't have any experience with the composit unit they're advertising. I know they make and sell quality products so I'd be comfortable either way..
I just want to ask the experts before I bail off and make a $$$$ mistake.
Thanks again as always,

I used a fiberglass nose from ACI. The fit left a little to be desired. I had to do quite a bit of adjustment to get it to fit. From what I understand, this is pretty normal with fiberglass units because of the differences in the way each car was built.
I had to build up each end about 1/8"
And then build this out a little to match the body line.
Here it is in primer. It turned out pretty good for my limited bodyman skills.
Depends on what you want to do with the car. If it is an NOS restoration you must use pieces and put it together. If you want a nice driver, the 1-piece is OK. I have a 1-piece on mine but you have to look underneath to tell. The guy that painted it did a Great job. Thanks John!
Jeff.
Nice job. That is kind of what I was looking for. I just finished a Shelby clone for a customer and had to do the same basic thing to the front end on it.
Mark.
This is not a concours restoration. I just want a really nice finish on the car when I'm done. More of a resto rod than a restoration.
Thanks for the input. Any more opinions?
Thanks again guys.

Put a fiberglass nose from J&D Corvette in Bellfower, CA on my '73. Had to do some work but I think it came out good. They make their own parts in California. I certainly would recommend them.
