I've glassed in the fender bonding seams with epoxy resin and mat and wanted to know what - if anything should be on top of the resin before primering. Seem like I heard that a layer of bondo should be added on top of the resin layer but I am unsure.
i am not a professinal body guy just a tinkerer but i sprayed primer on after the glass work then wet sanded to find the high and lows then epoxy primed twice once sanding with 400 then with 800 then sealcoating then spraying on basecoat then clearcoati did 2 complete cars like this 1 eight years ago and 1 last year both are holding up great even the 1 left out in the weather all year with no cover
I believe what you are looking for is what in the marine industry is referred to as "fairing compound". This is much like bondo, yet lighter/thinner (several different brands/weights). You just skim on a thin coat and then sand back off anything thats not in a low spot, which if the glass work was done well, wont be much.

How good are your fiberglass skills? Shoot some rattle can primer on your seams and see if you see low/high spots, pin holes, etc. That'll tell you whether you need an application of filler.
Yes ,those air bubble are hard to get rid of - I have tried every trick that I could find online (heat , resin rollers etc )- and I still have some.
What kind of filler do you recommend?
Or just go down to your local paint shop and talk to them. They will know exactly what you need. You just want a lightweight fairing compound. You dont want to end up with a bunch on the car, but skim it on everywhere and then block it off......I think you will be surpised about all the pinholes and low spots.
Its been said before, but paint shows everything. Better to catch it all now.
