Default R.H door will not open?

I have a 1968 corvette convertable and I closed the door and it will not open. We checked all the door lock items and they all work also the remote and the push button move levers in the latch It seems that something has broken it the latch assy. I would like to know if there is a way to open it without cutting the latch thats over the stricker pin. I have tried wires and other devices to see if I could release the latch but to no avail Thanks Charlie Reynolds

You could try spraying something like WD-40 down at the latch inside the door and working the buttton and the release handle inside to get the lube moving into the latch and it might free up any stuck parts. Good luck it can be a biatch. Peace,,, Moosie

If you can get the window down and peel the door panel away from the shell, you can get a long screw driver onto the part in the pic. Get a good downward push on this tab and the door will pop open.
