Default Need some help

I have a buddy who has a motor and was told it was from a 67 or 68 Vette. It's supposed to be a 327 / 375 hp.
These numbers are on it

18 B 21 80 4

V0531EP

Can anybody tell me anything about this motor? Is it a Vette motor and from what year? Or point me in a direction that I can find the info out?
Thanks.

18B21 80 4 indicates a 1968 car built in Baltimore (Chevelle was built in Baltimore in 1968)
V0531EP = Flint Michigan - May 31,1968 - 327Chevelle 325hp L79 Manual

Thanks. He'll be disappointed cause he wanted to sell it. Guess he'll have to talk to Chevelle guys now.
