That truly boggles the mind--if that is a case of " the dumbing down of America" then it has happened--and we will soon follow the way of the Roman Empire!

"I'm done with this car!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My car was idling like crap the other day so I figured since I just got it, it may have been awhile since anyone changed the oil out. I decided to go ahead and change the oil. I used Mobile 1 synthentic oil like I was reccomended on here. Anyways, I drain out the oil and noticed it was extremely dark and even after 10 minutes of draining, it was still coming out. I decided to go ahead and flush it to make sure all the bad stuff got out. I hooked up the hose, ran water through the engine, started it up and was waiting for the water to come out clean (The engine never went above idle so I was told this would be ok). Anyways, About 3 minutes into this, then engine starts shaking and shuts off. I figured it was all cleaned out so I plugged it up, added the oil and figured I was ready to go. WRONG! The car won't freaking start now. This car has been nothing but trouble for me, I think I am done with it."

I started to make a negative comment but I just fill sorry for this (young?) man. I was lucky when it came to cars. I got a job when I was 15 working in a real "filling station". Got to hang out with some real bad Hot Rodders. I fill sorry for the youth today they aren't getting life's education that was availably to me in the 50's and 60's. I worry about the world my grandchildren are growing up in as my grandparents worried about me. But I think my worry is legit.

I believe that's a hoax. Much like the guy on an import forum who claimed he honed his intake by pouring sand into his engine while it was running.

The old sand in the intake story has been around since 2003 and is still being viewed. I did a search and found a link. It is old so I think someone felt it was time for a new angle. We first think that no one could be that stupid but we must remember, "THEY DO WALK AMONGST US"

Look at the link below, it is funny, especially the last part about his buddy that only knows Honda.

The first line of the replies shows over 202,000 views so it has had a good run.
