Just for fun......What do you think a 1975 corvette will be worth in 2050??? We will assume it just a run of the mill, non # match, small block with a few bolt ons, in very good shape..........
My guess is $75000........ a dollar for every year

I would say you would have to pay someone to take it away for recycling. The internal combustion engine using gasoline will be long gone by then.
This all kind of depends on what the dollar is worth in 2050. Those of us who remember the Carter administration also remember double digit inflation. One year I got a 22% raise and didn't view it as anything "really special" when you considered the inflation rate was 15%. I have to agree that gasoline will be a disappearing comodity by 2050, but any 75 year old car will probably be in a museum anyway. My two kids want my 69 BB Vette and my 69 Mustang vert left to them when I pass, but they'll be fiftysomethings by then with any kind of luck (mine, not their's). Both of the cars should be worth a pretty penny by then.
North America will have weaned itself off Middle East oil long before 2050. The year 2008 has been a wake-up call. Drive them while you can. These gas-guzzlers will be legislated off the road or heavily taxed. Those with imagination and deep wallets may attempt to convert to alternate fuel engines but I doubt it. Barrett-Jackson will be a blip in automotive history.
A whole lot less than what I'll have into by then. Can just imagine what replacement parts from China will cost in 2050, and they are making UAW wages over there.
first a dollar a year = $75.00 which is about right since we will no longer have the fuel to drive them.but they do take a nice picture.like said before i hope i get to drive mine until it no longer can be maintained.due to lack of parts or fluids.we as a world are sucking this planet dry.i feel for my kids and grandkids.it is only going to get tuffer on them.or maybe they will live the jetson lifestyle.that would be cool.sucks that most of us won't be here to see it.point drive it enjoy it and quit worrying about what it is worth.you buy because you like.you want a investment by a pretty picture for the wall.barret/jackson is killing the joy of owning a car .all in fun my friend.vettes rule.
