81 wipers not working...help!!!

81 wipers not working...help!!!
Hello all! Just got my 40th birthday present (my VETTE) and so very excited...body looks so good and interior not too bad just needs some TLC but I want to first start with the wipers...not working at all...any suggestions here???

I don't have much experience with the elec aspects of the wipers but I'd start with:
Checking fuses
There is a Windshield Wiper relay that may have failed
Check the wiring around the motor to see if somone may have disconnected for some reason such as due to a mechanical problem that they were having.
The motor itself may have failed as well.
You can check to see if you're getting power to it at all when **** is turned on.

This will get you going. In the Search function there is an article I cannot find about a relay between the seats that can also give you headaches.
Mine stops and starts again a week or so later. Probably a ground but I only get caught in rain once or so a year so it's kinda a "raining day" project I've been putting off for 15 years!
