Default Snap On Digital Torque Wrench

Do they need to be calibrated or even set back to zero after use, which in this case would be 25 ft lbs since it won't go to zero? I know the click, dial etc do.

It should tell you that in the user's manual. A quick call to Snap on Tools tech or customer service should also get you a correct answer.

my assumption would be that it does not need to be re-zero'd after each use.

If it is anything like a standard torque wrench you need to run it back down to near the lower end of the scale. I would guess this has an electronic strain gauge of some sort in it, so it may not be required to return to zero every time.

I would expect that is a high dollar torque wrench. I would be sure to do whatever Snap-On recommends to keep it in good working order.

Thanks for the reply everyone, I missplaced the instruction manual but I'm sure I can find one online somewhere and print it out. I was hoping someone that has the same Torque Wrench would have know the answer.

In the Air Force, we calibrated all measurement equipment bi-annually. Is that correct for every 2 years? So yes, it needs calibration.
Does it need to be zeroed after each use? Is it gonna hurt it if you do?
