Ahoy, ahoy. I was cruising the ads on eBay and saw this one auction where the fella said his 72 had a rare Factory Delete Air and Heat! And the pictures seem to verify that but this is the first I ever heard of it. What say all of you?
I know the heater delete option was available back in the C2 series. It was option code C48. I never seen one in the C3 series but it looks like it could have been an option.

I don't recall hearing anything about it either. Most of what's in that top pic isn't stock anyway, so it stands to good reason that someone could easily fab up that delete plate and someone told a previous owner it was a factory option.
Heck I am getting ready to delete the HVAC controls in my car and I'm considering options of things I can put there.
LOL, more like Bubba Delete Air and Heat.
Seriously, the last heater delete Vettes were built in 67, after that, they all have at least a heater/defroster.
His job looks like a piece of tin and Home Depot screws, GM would never do anything like this.
It was mandated in the 69 and up I believe that the cars had a defroster. You could not get heater delete from the factory for a 69 and later. Maybe even 68 and later. That is complete BS to have a heater delete for a 72. Maybe a Bubba heater delete but not factory.
I'm pretty sure it was 68 and later cars had to have a heater.
