Default Original 72 Carb

Hello, maybe some of you could help me? I am searching for an original carberetor for a 1972 350/200hp mt car. The carb number should be 7042203. Any suggestions? Thank you.

sorry to be "that guy" but its going to be almost impossible to find your original carberetor, the closest you can get is a replica stock 72 carb.

Try the number below. I believe they have one used carb with correct number. Carb would need to be rebulit before using.

I went through the same thing last year for the same car/engine that you have. I finally bought a 1973 numbered Rochester Qjet off that bidding site that shall remain nameless. Most of the 4MV's are the same with minor jetting differences and a solid unit can be rebuilt easily. I ended up paying $50 for a decent carb and put in a rebuild kit and it is just fine. Granted I don't have a true dated numbers carb for the car, but you may never find one, at least for a decent price. Good luck with your search.

Let me look. I may just have what you're looking for.

I also have a 72 base 350. I replaced the Q-jet last summer for an AFB.

I was missing two items for my 72 LT-1...the carb and my A.I.R. system. Found the dated carb on this site (parts) and also through this forum....found the smog....Muddy
