I cought some of the suggestions about the various kits that are av ailable. My main concern is the seat covers, I was a friend of the owner #1. He bought the car from the dealer with what he told me are cloth centers and leather out trim. This is what is in the car now. Is this combo in the books somewhere or is this something I can put all leather in and not worry? Or should I reseach this oddball some?

Unless you're scared about losing a numbers matching all original status I think you should install the seat covers that you are most comfortable with. If you want leather then install leather.

My 77 which looks like a twin to yours also came factory with that crappy cloth insert interior. Is your interior also buckskin? I went with Willcox pure leather seat covers with new padding it came from corvette america and looks and smells so much better than that crappy cloth and fit my seats great. this is what my original cover looked like and what the Willcox cover looka like

In my opinion, do what you want.

May 2008, cloth/vinyl

September 2008, leather-like vinyl courtesy of Willcox.
