Default M block date code

I'm doing some research on c3 cars that have an M engine block casting date code designation. These blocks had M followed by various numbers, instead of the normal cating date, example M27. It could have been an M followed by any number. These blocks were experimental blocks, with the M number designating some sort of change in the casting process. Some of these blocks were tested after the process change and others were put into production. If you could furnish the M code on your block, the body build date on your trim tag and the stamped info on the engine pad that would help. I'm trying to establish some casting date with respect to the M code and car info.
Not alot is known about this amomaly to date, but any new info will be shared with those that participate.
Thank You

Is this to be added to the NCRS study?

Do you have any info to start with? Are you working with NCRS. They may be able to exchange some info also.
