I looked at all the caps at Eklers, and none of them are the cap that's on my 79 L-48 although part no. A859 looks close, but the cap on my 79, (which won a NCRS second flight award) is a Stamped GM chrome, 15 pound, and does not have the two protruding **** on each side. I looked in the mid-america catalog and at eklers and didn't see it. I'll look in my other catalogs and be right back. I'd contact Riks Corvette supply in North Carolina @828-433-6506 or www.RIKSVET.com OK I think I found it for you, it at Riks corvette and is part number #10665

Find someone with a 79 NCRS judging manual and it will have an exact discription and part number in it. I sold my judging manuals a few years ago.

does your cap have a part number on the right side such as rc33 or rc27? from what im finding these caps all had a part number listed to the right with AC to the left. the new caps had TVS (whatever that means) on the left side in place of AC
