www.uscorvettes.com Bad?
So, I've been looking around quite a bit, and some time ago i found that site. He seems to sell the cars pretty cheap. I think i read some bad stuff about him but im not sure. Anyone know anything?
The search feature above came up with 2 pages.
The link I added didn't work but if you just enter uscorvettes in the search you can read all about them.

Do not buy a car from Michael Mon-thief!!! It will be the worst financial mistake you will ever make.
"Run Forest Run". The DA of Montgomery County-Bruce Castor is in litigation for a Corvette that he bought from him. Moncrief picked the wrong guy to stick it to.
hey thread..if you go on his site and look at the nevada (light)silver 71 vette and look at the pictures you would think wow what a car..well he mis lead me on almost all of the details yea new interior, yea new chrome and tires..that was it..the new paint was bubbled, overspray on everypiece of chrome and the black interior was light silver..what a mess to clean..not a working light let alone funtional headlights and wipers,i have sunk about 18 grand into this car in less than two years because he wouldnt take it back..well he would have but i would have had to pay for shipping back to chicago and pick another from his stable and pay for that shipping and pay difference in the price.what a f-n deal..this car was missing *****,the radio didnt work.not a working gauge, tach, speedodometer, the entire a/c unit pictured in the ad was missing and all the pipes were taped off. he blamed that on transport theft..when we pulled the console apart there were thirteen cut unattached wires ..all the switches needed replaced, not to mention the engine was shot..so a new engine and all the goodies that go with that later i have a nice car..he is a crook and i hope his dishonesty catches up with this moron..he was in cali then run out of there now in illinoise...beware ...there are nice vetts out there..keep searchin...

DOYLESTOWN, PA-November 16, 2005 -- Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce Castor has taken only one drive in the classic 1969 red Chevrolet Corvette convertible he bought from a California dealer for $22,900 in an Internet sale: to a mechanic, for extensive repairs.
In addition to the mechanic, Castor went to federal court, filing a civil lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia citing 40 significant defects in the car that had been advertised as "A great looking vehicle that gets a lot of attention."
When the car he bought sight unseen was delivered to his home, Castor said he found the engine knocked and didn't have all its original parts, the fiberglass body had a five-inch crack, the headlights and gauges didn't work and the tires were the wrong size. "I feel like a complete fool, to be taken advantage of like this," Castor said.
The Daily News in Philadelphia said the seller, Michael Montrief, of Huntingdon Beach, Calif., couldn't be reached for comment Tuesday

From what I've heard this guy's been scamming people for years. First on fleabay where he had several identities and then directly. RUN AWAY!!!
it really gets my goat when people buy cars and after getting it home decide it doesn't meet their requirements.. even when they have total control of looking over and confirming those requirements prior to the purchase... and then blaming the seller 100% for the problems... these types of things should be blamed on the buyer 100%....
no car is perfect, that is why there is a market for problem cars..
how can a seller know all there is to know about the car.. why should a seller know about disconnected wires in the console.. should every car transaction include a 1000$, 1000 point inspection and bonded report so someone can sue if a taillight has overspray on it? Sorry, it is just not practical..
yes there are bad dealers out there, but people that don't inspect cars adequately need to get burned for not confiming the car meets their requirements prior to the purchase.
and then lets take these problem cars to a mechaninc, who will gladly total up a long manufactured list of things the car needs so the buyer can sue the seller.. buyers like this is who needs to go to jail..
if you are a buyer, ask lots of questions, ask for lots of photos, and do your research.. only then should to expend money to even travel to go look at a car... it is usually easy to ask questions that will determine what you will be looking at..
But as usual, let's blame someone else..
