Giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe he just was test fitting his motor mounts with a scrap block he dressed up.

My first thougth was maybe that was junk heads, but why would you put what looks like a new intake on junk heads? Either way, I guess they're junk heads now.

Maybe it's a performance thing and will help the oil flow back down faster instead of letting it do what it's supposed to do?!?!? Maybe, kinda sorta?

I agree with you Steve, I have seen several hot rod shows were they actually paint the inside of blocks to allow better oil return flow. It
IS sloppy, but I doubt it will harm the engine
