Default Another - What is it worth?.....

I bought a 79 project on Fleabay that just needed the interior done. Well long story short, the project progressed into a body off restoration.
The frame (straight with nothing other than surface rust)was cleaned and painted with POR15, as all the other chassis parts. All brake and fuel lines are new. The trailing arms themselves are new with rebuilt parts. All calipers were SS lined and rebuilt along with new rotors. All bushings were replaced along with all u-joints. The halfshafts are new as well. Here is a pic of the chassis when I was done:

The engine and the transmission (both original and 350's) were rebuilt by the PO approx. 3 years ago and have very few miles on them since. The rear end patterned ok so I did not rebuild it. The engine has a new Edelebrock manifold, distributor and carb. It has a new CC 2-1-2 Maganflow exhaust with high flow cat and sounds pretty good.

As for the body... it needs some work. I don't have a picture available of it on Phototbucket right now. The 2nd coat of paint has been removed from the majority of it. The bird cage needs some work on the passenger side door frame. There's a hole about the size of a quarter. I did weld in a new driver side floorpan. Other than that it is in good shape. There is still a ton to do to get it where I would want it.

I could never get all the work or parts (headlight assemblies, new heater core, new heater fan, etc) that I have put into it on this thread, but am just trying to get an idea of what I can expect to be offered if i put it up for sale. I will be traveling a lot this year for work and just won't have the time to work on it when I am home. I really hate to sell it, but reality is I probably will never finish it.

Any guesstimate would be appreciated!

A major project is a major project. It is hard to sell something in 2 big pieces because it limits your buying pool significantly. Not everyone has 2 garage spaces to spare. A nice rolling frame will help, but if you got a $5K offer as is, I'd deliver it that night. I'd be surprised if you can get $3k as is.

I tried this with a Pro-Street 73 Nova SS years ago. I had all the pieces and all the work was left to do, had a rolling body with narrowed rear and all body work on the quarters done. Offers came in around 4500$ from people to buy the whole lot. I decided to sell everything piece by piece on ebay and fenders and body and such locally. I cleared 16K doing it that way...........something to think about (took me approx. one year to put 11-15 parts a week on ebay)

I would guess somewhere in the $3000 - $5000 range. Of course you have more time invested in it, but for little bit more people may want to buy a car that can be driven. In this case, they are looking for a lot of work to be done before they can enjoy it.

If you had a good offer around $5000, I would think it may be a bargain. Maybe a loss for you overall, but still a good deal.

I should have been more specific in my post as well as put up the latest photos. The body is back on the chassis and the engine is running with a remote ignition key (the steering cloumn needs to be rebuilt). If I didn't have the body back on and all electrical ran, I would probably just part it out, but it's at the point where it ain't worth that. I know I will never get back what I put into it.

Thanks for all the input though. I guess I need to figure out if I should let it sit for a year or take a huge loss.
