Just over 10 years now off and on working on my '81. I get bored with it and move on to other things that offer quicker gratification. For instance we just rebodied the '06 and that only took a weekend more or less. If it wasn't for all that darn rust in the '81 bird cage I think I'd be close to being done now. 
I really want to finish it. I think I'll go out to the garage now.

Been working on mine since 1998, so well over 10 years now. The reason is simple some mishaps (first body destroyed by sandblasting, replacing with a second that had birdcage issues and led to a complete birdcage transplant) and of course getting the money to make like I want it to be.
Right now she had 4 layers of primer, all sanded with guide coat. Since money is an issue right now it will take me another couple of years to complete (hopefully)
