Its like a My Space type thing. Sort of like Car Domain, but for people.
In Australia, they legalized the notification of property forclosure via Facebook, if they cant get ahold of you by any other means.

Facebook can be come very addicting, it is a great place to find friends you have not seen in years, I have found friends from High School and College that I have not talked to in over 25 years! It is also easy to keep in contact with friends on a daily basis.
