help with turn signal switch
how do i get to the turn signal switch on the steering column? the lever that is used to activate the signals moves in the column switch ie when i push it down to turn left the chrome lever rotates down instead of moving down to activate the switch. i need to tighten it up in the switch if possible but don't know how to get to it.

Like 72LS1 vette said jim Shea's papers give you good directions on how to do the job. If its like my 77 T/T column you have to of course remove the horn button and shims and horn contact and steering wheel. You will have to borrow from A/zone the locking pin removal tool it is spring loaded. Once you get it off the turn signal switch is right there. If yours is broken I have my old one just laying in the attic which was good . I replaced it just because I overhauled my column. You are welcome to have it if you want it.

i'm not sure what is wrong with it... it works but the lever moves in the switch. is there a screw or something that holds the lever tight in the switch?
