Im sitting here watching the 2008 BJ Auction highlights on TV
thinking....other than the charity auction cars, the truly rare cars, and the just dead nuts 100 pt cars.....the people (suckers) , who are bought the driver and just above driver cars for 100K +....... I wonder what they will be thinking after this years auction.
I realize the "money is no object crowd" just buys what they want, but am i the only one out there thinking the prices are gonna be off quite a bit this year???
What say you all?
I think im the only one who thinks the car commentators (Magnate, Joy, etc.) are really pretty good. Do they make errors....yes. But they have to have such a vast knowledge of all different types of cars. I say "good job".

I enjoy watching BJ on Speed. In my opinion it is not the venue to get any kind of a deal on a car. Nice place to sell one if you can get it in.
The nicer cars and the rare cars will still bring strong money. The weaker cars may take a hit due to the weak economy. I don't mind the announcers. At least they are car guys. They make mistakes here and there on Vettes but seem to have a fairly broad knowledge on other makes as well.
I would agree on a pretty substantial price drop on about 90 percent of the vehicles offered, however there should be some pretty good pissing matches by a few of the regulars trying to outdo each other. The money no object crowd still have most of their money and will spend it,just not as recklessly as in past years. The price drop will occur on the cars bought by the regular Joes, they do have less to fritter away.
