Default Restoring the front chassis

I plan on restoring/reconditioning the front chassis shortly including taking out the dents in the cross member with that special tool I bought from a guy on the Forum.
Obviously everything is going to be repainted and here is my dilemma with some questions members may like to comment on:
a. Would the car have originally been painted in GMH Chassis Black ???
b. I have read about the benefits of POR 15, if I use this what are the implications for NCRS judging ???
c.Is there a better product available ???

Thanking you in anticipation.

Chris

b. You could always top coat the POR15 with chasis black. In fact, POR15 recommends that you put a top coat on items that will see the sun. I believe the sun turns the paint into a chalky white color.

c. I believe Eastwood has there version of POR15, but POR15 is probably the best on the market. The only other option that I would consider, would be powder coating.

Take a look at www.rustbullet.com also. There might be problems shipping some of these products mentioned to your location.

You could buy it from me but the cost of shipping from Tasmania to you would be about $150. You can buy one shipped in the US for that. Can't check at the moment because I'm at work but the guys name who sold it to me was Terry ??? Fringo. I am sure I saw a post recently with a business name and his name.
We have used the tool on three cars with GREAT RESULTS. Mine is next.

Yes as you say there could be a problem with shipping I have seen the POR 15 for sale and as suggested a top coat of GMH chassis black would be okay.
The other product I have not seen.
The car does not need a body off restoration and I am trying to be sympathetic with the restoration as the car is pretty original.
