Default c-3 hood latch

I'm playing hell with getting the drivers side hood latch to release. I was able to get the passengers side released but the drivers side is locked down and won't move. Anyone have ideas or near Houston / League City area that wouldn't mind helping?

oh yeah its a 1968 corvette if that helps.

you will have to crawl under the car to release it ,it is proberly out of alignment ,after it is open put a piece of ducttape on the female side and see where the pin lands ,the ajust accordingly

You can remove the triangular splash shield on that side to make it easier to reach up if you need to.

The duct tape trick is very cool, and that's how I had to do it too.

You can see how that dot is where the tower cone contacts the opening, and where it needs to be moved to get it into the center.

Also make sure the cables are all tight so there is no slop when you pull the release.

Beleive it or not I got it fixed right after I posted this. was able to use a bent welding rod to reach through the gap and pull back at the same time pulling the hood release and it popped right up. Apparently the latch itself needs a new spring. It doesn't pull back once the hood releases.
