Even though I can't answer to the would you do it "again" since I haven't technically started on my first.... I do have to say that my reasons for doing the first are closely related to the "seeing it come back to life" response.
My Vette is the same age as I am, and to see it in such poor shape as when I bought it, stripped down and disgraced as a parts car, just made me want to fix it up even more. Who knows how many people owned this very car and gave up on it, and threw it away.
So, maybe when I am done I may say "Never again!", but you never know. There just might be some other poor, neglected, deserving Vette that needs the right person to come along and see it's potential.
I have done a few various makes for friends plus my vette, about 1/2 way through you swear you will never do this again then you hear it run, get it painted and are driving the thing.
After a bit of time passes you are craving to do another one...
I'll keep the Vette but would love to do a BB 70 Nova like I had in my youth!
Glad to see so many happy & willing to do it again. I first purchased a 77 NOM 4spd for 4500 dropped another 10k in it. after that I was still unhappy with the car. I sold it for 5500. That I will never do again. My 69 I purchased restored and still am fixing some things. I will do this again anytime. As far as a project I would take on I would have to have more garage space to do it right.
i did 3 so far a 61 for me 3000hours a 72 coupe for my wife 1000hours and a 59 for a friend ,i lost money on that 1 but i am looking for a 32/34 5window coupe to keep myself busy ,so far i have the engine 350/300hp a 2spd power glide and a 55 chevy posi drum to drum .now i am looking for the body and chassis
Reading through threads of all of your restorations (many of you have done major restorations) I read how C3's being 30 years old and seem to always need something done to them. I have done a major restoration of my steel blue '75 and it's basically done. I'm thinking about another project....but I gotta wonder if I'm crazy for even thinking about going through all of that again. Those of you who have gone through it before, ... would you do it again with another project?
Sure you probably spend more money restoring one than just buying one in very good condition, but for me there just wouldn't be as much pride/satisfaction in the car that someone else did all the work to. Decisions Decisions...
- I would do it again...I miss the fun of tearing things apart and making them stronger and better...now mine's done and there's not much left to do... ...DDBS

Have to agree with you there it seems I have room for the car or room for the tools but not both and with the body off the frame it's very cramped to work.
I would probably do it again, but not until I spend a few years concentrating on making some money, and I probably will never do a C3 again. Being 29 and having done two body-offs on C3's has really put a damper financially on me. Besides, my '72 is pretty much the car I've always wanted to build anyway
