Help! What does it mean?

Help! Body guys..

I checked out a 72 today and found it in good shape, needed a little work but no RUST on frame and birdcage. One thing I did notice was the fender near the wiper door and door. If looking from the front the gap between the hood and fender got wider as you looked toward the windshield. this was on both sides. It almost looks like the fenders were maybe coming loose from the birdcage and coming unglued? I found no evidence of an accident or anything. Could this be just stress and it being old? Its like all you would need to do is clean out the old bond glue on the front of the birdcage, push the fender back and rebond it?

I'd have a bodyman look at it - even if you have to trailer it there. Cheap insurance.
