I've heard numerous times that people that have the Steeroids setup and Hooker Side Pipes have had to clearance (or ding) their driver's side header to get the Steeroids properly installed.
My question is whether this is also true for the VBP Rack Attack setup? I asked VBP and they said they weren't aware of anybody having to clearance their headers. However, to me, that doesn't necessarily mean nobody had to do it.
Any thoughts? I was thinking about ordering the VBP setup and have some reservations about dinging my Jet Hot coated side pipe headers.

I've got the rack attack but don't have the headers. The rack attack and the steeroids are virtual clones. From what I've read some people will have a clearance issue and others will not. Things are pretty tight down there so a lot of things can create clearance problems.
I emailed Jet Hot and got a quick response. It looks like I can dimple my headers and not hurt the coating if I follow some precautions so I guess I won't worry about it. Looks like a new rack and pinion setup is in my future.
I have the Rack Attack (It is pretty much a virtual Steeroids clone, with exception of the outer tie rod ends) and I had to radius clearance the motor mount frame extension to allow the rack side U-joint fitting to fully seat down on the rack steering input pinion shaft. The allenhead lockscrew was hitting the frame.
I have OEM exhaust so I cant help from the sidepipe headers.
Put it together and post a pic, then we'll all know
