Speedometer cable hook up
In trying to hook the cable to the trans it appears that it requires a 90 degree adapter on my 71 4 speed car...Is this the case or am I not trying hard enough???.

which side does the cable exit the trans? one of mine attaches to the right, the other to the left. the left side threads between the shift control rods, with minimal clearance, but didn't need an adaptor.

Mine is on the passenger side... I think it's an M20 but I have yet to verify that..Looks like I almost have to drop the crossmember to hook the thing up..
